find below some base-maps, to be used by our cartographers who start with their work next week onwards...
find below some more background information from the organisers:
:: Barbate O-maps: 22 square kms of maps around CanosdeMeca Apartments, of which 10 kms made in autumn 2009, extremely fast, detailed, many hills and depressions, hard sand dunes with pines, some low bushes, all next to the seaside.
:: In addition, 2 more maps in the beautiful mountains of Cadiz and 2 more areas in the north of the province (Sanlucar de barrameda).
:: For Sprint trainings, Tarifa and Vejer-de-la-frontera areas, challenging old city centers where you will feel like in the narrow streets of Morocco.
:: Overall, our offer varies from sand dune to very rocky, medium hilly to very steep (cork and oak) and very detailed slopes of pine forest.
:: You also need to know that we are offering “normal O-flags” in most of trainings in Sun-o weeks and better “quality tapes” to be properly seen by the orienteer eye.
:: Accomodation is simply ideal for orienteers, in the middle of the maps, at 50 mts from the Atlantic Ocean !
